    Download the installer

    After checkout, click Download for Windows to get FloatBar-Setup.exe (v3.2.0, about 125 MB). If the file is only a few kilobytes, the download was interrupted — try again or contact support.

    Run the installer

    Double-click FloatBar-Setup.exe. Windows SmartScreen may warn that the app is unrecognized because FloatBar is not code-signed yet — click More info, then Run anyway. Pick an install location and finish the wizard.

    First launch

    FloatBar starts automatically and adds itself to startup. The floating bar appears at the edge of your screen — press Ctrl + \ anytime to show or hide it, and Ctrl + Arrow keys to nudge it around.

    Connect your AI agents

    Open the dashboard (gear icon on the bar) → Dev Alerts. Click Connect next to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, or Antigravity, then Test connection — a test alert should appear on the bar. Use Repair if hooks drift after a major update.

    Optional: toast notifications

    Under Dev Alerts → Advanced you can enable Windows toast capture as a fallback alert source. Allow notifications for FloatBar in Windows Settings if you use it. Hook integrations remain the recommended, more reliable path.

  6. 06

    Track credit usage

    Open Credit Usagefrom the dock to see Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor limits with reset times. Providers you don't use can be hidden with the unplug button and restored anytime.
